We attended a wedding in Toronto last weekend that was held on Ward's Island (Toronto Islands). It is a beautiful location that allows visitors to have the feeling of cottage life in (or near) the city.

Here is the Toronto skyline captured from the return ferry on Saturday evening.

    1. Thanks! Food was neat - sliders and fries. The fries were really good and served with garlic mayo for dipping. So good!

  2. Beautiful photo!

Ward's Island (Toronto Islands)? My goodness...I've never even heard of that. I've discovered something new about this beautiful country. And not too far from my home either. How cool is that?

    1. Awesome! I lived in the city probably five years or more before I went - I didn't know about it either. I've been to a couple weddings there and have just walked around on other occasions. It is a nice place to escape from the craziness of the city without having to go to far. The view of the skyline is great to look at too.

  3. Aside from the airport, it's been years since I've been over on the islands. I've known someone who lived over on Ward's, and said it was like a completely different part of the world, like the city wasn't even there.

    1. That is wild. It is true though - there are so many trees and people ride bikes on trails and play tennis. It feels like somewhere in the country.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog and for your comment! I really appreciate it! :)
