This winter is trying to get itself into record books I think. So far we have had an ice storm, temperatures as cold as the surface of Mars, and now some massive snowfall.

And it's still snowing.

We are currently under a "Blizzard Warning" and a "Wind Chill Warning" and the Weather Network is calling for even more snow tomorrow.

Good thing I enjoy indoor activities.

  1. Looks the same here. Glad you are safe and warm. I had some marketing to do this morning but passed and instead, worked indoors. Let me tell you, our place is looking darn good.

    1. That's great! Indoor time is a great time to organize/clean. I like to put on a movie or a series or some music or an audiobook and just have fun getting things looking good.

    2. That's a fun way to do it. For sure.

  2. PS: Yesterday Tim helped me clean out the fridge and I forgot to tell you in email that Tim got me two new lamps that are wonderful for shooting food photos any time of the day. Even night time.

    Back to chores. Burrrrrr.

Wait, I'm hungry. First a little nibble, then the last of the chores. The burrrrrr, stands.

    1. Good lighting is key. I have an old lamp I can pull out to help with lighting, but it isn't all it could be. In the future I need to invest in a new camera (mine is a point and shoot from 2007 that was great at the time but over the years has really left me wanting more), and some dedicated photo lamps.

      Stay warm!! :)

    2. The lights I have are OttLites, and I'm going to do another post about them. Did one last time I got one. But I left that little bugger out in the rain/snow one day, I don't recall which (it was night), and he died.

      Love these little lights.

Understandable about the camera. It's fun to grow and move on to another toy.

    3. I looked them up and they look pretty cool.

    4. They have different ones. I'm using the hand-held, made for quilters who want to shop for fabric using natural white light, instead of the crappy overhead at the store.

Then the other, also white light, folds. I'll have to post them, they are pretty cool.

    5. Nice. Looking forward to your post! :)

    6. I did one a long time ago when we first got the hand-held one but I don't know what year that was. But in it, you can see the difference in the light.

    7. I tried Googling "Happy Whisk" and "Ottlite" but couldn't find your post. You will have to do another one to please the masses!

    8. I found it. Whew, I have a lot of pictures. I bought way back when for a reading light and then later discovered it worked on food photos. Here's the difference in the pages though. With and without the light.

  4. I guess I should be glad it's only cold here. I couldn't imagine digging out all that snow, too! Of course, if it did snow more here, we'd have humongous drifts. The wind is relentless.

    1. The wind is relentless here too. All the snow keeps drifting and blowing across the road while people are trying to drive. Not really safe to be out driving today.

  5. I'm getting a little sick of all this winter at this point. I'm cheering myself up by thinking about all the valentine's crafts I want to do with the kids. :)

    1. I'm so sick of winter! It is only early January. Boo! Thinking about future projects is a good idea at this point...once Valentines hits it is almost March. March is almost summer. We can get there!! I think I am going to look up knitting patterns for a balaclava. And knit fast if I find one at my skill level.

    2. That's a great idea. If you find a good pattern, let me know, would you? Are you on revelry?

    3. Yep I love looking for patterns on there. If I find a good balaclava pattern I will send it to you.
