Went for a nice walk last week before all the rain hit. A neighbour was having a small fire in their yard (brush and leaves I think) and the sun was shining through the smoke beautifully. It could be because I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings, but sometimes I feel like I live in a fantastical land (but with paved roads and cars).

  1. I laughed at your last sentence. That's pretty good.

I'm headed out for a little light couponing, then back to rebuild my coupon station, while drinking the best pumpkin drinks in the history of ever.

    Cheers and boogie boogie.

    2. I ended up doing a little couponing, instead of working at home, but I'm home now to bake some chicken and get some coupon work done.

      How was your day?

    3. Sounds great! I saw your awesome score of your blog - as always I am super impressed with your skills.

My day was pretty good. It was raining or hailing most of the day but I somehow managed to find the full hour in a row where it wasn't and got in a walk. It was really windy and I probably should have worn mitts, but it was actually sunny which was nice. The weather has been all over the place the past two days. Apparently it was sunny and snowing in town - I'm glad I missed that. :)

Also tried out a scalloped potato recipe tonight which was super delicious. I got my mom's old food processor and am having lots of fun with it. Slicing and dicing! :)

    4. Ohh, you could totally make peanut butter in a food processor. Scalloped potatoes are sooo yummy.

Snowed here today and I got all excited because it was real snow. I always get excited at the first snowfall. Weather weird here last few days as well. Looking like it's gonna be a White Halloween.

      Glad you got to row.

    5. You know I will have to try peanut butter. The processor I got from my Mom is from the 80s and still works awesome. I'm going to post about it tomorrow. We need to do a run to the bulk store and they have good prices on peanuts, so I will have give it a whirl. I love seeing what the food processor can do.

We might be in for a White Halloween too. Apparently it snowed on and off today, but I never saw it. Quickly melted. Weather network says it feels like 25°F out there... pretty cold so snow may be on the way.

    6. I've only made the peanut butter with unsalted nuts, but that's because I don't like a lot of salt. Looking forward to your post.

Snow, snow, snow here today and last night. Took some pictures for my post later. Tim still home sick but a little better today. So it's snow day, city and the fridge is packed with goodies.

    1. Thanks! I just started reading the book so everything is reminding me of Middle Earth. :)
