It's
Family Day here in Ontario and also the first day of
Tim Hortons Roll up the Rim to Win! I spent today sleeping in, reading, writing, going for a walk in the (cold) sunshine, and stopping at Timmies for some Roll up the Rim fun. Not quite sure why this ad campaign works so well on me, but I got a medium decaf and a box of 20 timbits while I was there. And a chance to win!
There are two parts of the rim to roll up this year. Here is how I did:

I won a frickin' doughnut!!! |

And a "Please Play Again" on my bonus roll. |
Yay! You won a donut! Now the hard part...choosing which one! :)
ReplyDeleteTotally...probably going to go with sprinkle...haven't had one of those in a while. :)
DeleteWoohoo on the doughnut. Just today at Barnes, I copied down a formula for home baked doughnuts. Going to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your day was pretty darn good. I don't mind going for winter walks when the sun is out. Makes me feel happy. And the pups like it as well.
PS: A pet peeve of mine is when shoppes spell doughnut, donut or anything other than doughnut. Just drives me batty. Silly, really.
Okay, headed to bed after four days of not going to bed early. Cheers and boogie boogie.
Glad you had a great four days! Looking forward to seeing your doughnut recipe. Do you have a doughnut pan? I sometimes want to get one, but then I think I would bake a lot of doughnuts... :) I like doughnut spelled doughnut too!
DeleteI found the recipe in a vegan bake book. Curious to give it a go.
DeleteNo, I look at them from time to time but haven't gotten one yet. For now I'll just make Tim Bits. That's what started me on this whole new chocolate cookie doughnut thing, gosh, maybe over a year ago now.
That's great! A sweet for a sweet. I agree with Stacy - choosing which one. I have a cookbook that boosts the best EVER donuts. Must try. Have fun. Cheers!!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried making my own, but want to one day. Both baked and deep fried. Mmmm.... Cheers!
