It's been crazy around here lately and to make sense of all the madness I have been playing Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes pretty much non stop. There were some video game deals a few weeks ago and I was able to pick it up for only $19. With unparalleled dedication, I played, explored, unlocked, and collected everything within the game, reaching 100% earlier this evening.
I also recently purchased the newest game in the series: Lego The Lord of the Rings. I had a gift card when I bought it, making it only $20. That is my Lego price! I have only briefly explored the Lego The LOTR map so 100% won't be for a while yet. Check out the trailer if interested; I know it is going to be a lot of fun!

So, Lego games, huh? I keep wondering if Jeff might like one of those... LOTR would be the one. How do you like it so far?
ReplyDeleteIf Jeff has never played a Lego game before, pretty much the idea is to explore places, smash stuff (legos!), and collect things. There are individual levels (I think there are 18 in LLOTR) and there is also an open map where you can collect/buy/unlock things. Each level is replayed to collect even more stuff, once you unlock characters with specific abilities to help find the collectables (for ex. a high jumping character or an arrow shooting character). Some people see the Lego games as a grind, but if he likes games where you smash stuff open and find stuff, it could be fun. LLOTR is also going to have “Epic Battles” so there is orc fighting which could be fun too!
ReplyDeleteI have only played the first few levels of LLOTR so I don’t know for sure how amazing it is, but I can tell you it is based on the movies, not the books. Cut scenes between game play are almost frame for frame for the movie with the actual movie dialogue, which I think is awesome and cute.
Let me know if you decide to get it! Also if you wait six months, Lego games have a habit of dropping to $20.
Popping in to see how you're doing this holiday season. Hope all is well and that you're making yummy things.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just realized that your blog isn't coming up on my blog roll and when I checked, I wasn't on your follwers list. No idea why. Anyway, came by to say Happy 2013.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2013 to you too!! Thanks for stopping by! I hope 2013 is an amazing year for you!!
ReplyDeleteAre you baking or cooking these days?
ReplyDeleteI made caramel corn as my Christmas gifts this year. Also made a New Year's Mac and Cheese that was super yummy.
ReplyDeleteI also picked up some peppermint extract and have been adding it to hot chocolate and thinking about what types of treats I can make with it. Should be fun! :)
